Yummy House China Bistro Sarasota

What a great place. Atmosphere is awesome.. staff is friendly and entertaining..but the real treat is the food. Traditional Chinese food be damn.. this food is light tasty and great portions. You have never eaten Chinese food like this... and I grew up in NY. go eat there!!

This house is true to what it stands for: Super yummy Asian food at a fair price and with very friendly, attentive and funny staff. Lunch specials are around 10 dollars. Normal
dishes are a few bucks more but more than enough to fill me twice (boxes are available to take leftovers home). It's one of my favorite restaurants in Sarasota!

*insert the deity of your choice* bless the hands of the people behind the best duck in at least 4 countries so far....honestly it is the best duck (try the Hong Kong style roasted duck)
The new location is very nice and such a cozy atmosphere; service is great as usual. You can't order anything from the menu that won't satiate and satisfy your taste for good delicious food. I have recommended this place to several people and they all love it. Price is so so good also. Please Yummy house never change.

The food was decent and priced okay. I would probably rate it a 3.5 we also ordered ribs that were not that great, but I liked the chicken sizzler... although the mushrooms in it were questionable. However it is a personal choice. The serving size are huge and the dishes can be easily shared.

The old Yummy House is at the new location on the Trail, closer to the ocean. The move is probably so they could get better business in the area and to solve the mishmash of crowded tables in the middle of the room at the old place. The new decor is updated and the restaurant layout is roomier and properly done so it's easier to get to your tables and for dimsum and dessert carts to navigate during lunch hour. I do like the old Yummy House where you could get combo lunch plate or dinner plate with hot n' sour soup, pork fried rice and an egg roll. The new place just serves large portions of one thing at a time so bring a friend to share. I'm very happy for the owners with the new Yummy House in Sarasota and I'm sure the general public will like the appeal of the new Yummy House. The place does fill up. Reservations accepted and recommended. Come a little early. It's great for meeting friends for a meal. However I do miss the old Yummy House and yummy combo plates.
