“Been here 5 times over the past few years and the only negative thing I can think of is that there is not a main bar near my house. Their Italian is the best I have ever had, bread soft yet crunchy on the exterior, cheeses and meats flavorful and warm, and packed with more flavor than seems possible for a sandwich. Publix at their absolute best on the rarest of best days in their entire history could not make a sandwich even 1/2 as good as what main bar does. There is a reason they have been in business since 1958, they do it right.”

The pizza slices I saw served were enormous and the restaurant is super convenient to the Regal theatre which makes it great for a quick bite before or after a movie. “This is one of my favorite places to eat in Sarasota. Definitely a hidden gem. They offer amazing locally sourced sandwiches, teas and goodies (their homemade brownies are amazing!). They also have vegan and vegetarian options which I love!! Their vegan BLT is a personal favorite along with the veggie Reuben. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating, I love to sit here a do work in this positive, upbeat environment while sipping on some tea. “We came for a weekend getaway and arrived at our hotel at around 9. All I wanted to do was have a quick bite and relax so we could explore tomorrow. The hubby ordered a pizza for pickup since this was right next door to our hotel (very convenient). We ordered the Philly cheese steak pizza. It was good; extremely hot when we received it so the cheese fell off when I picked it up. Not a big deal, I just let it cool for a bit before eating it. It was good. Nothing amazing, but it was a good pizza. It had good flavor and good crust. The crust was extremely airy which was nice. I'd eat here again if I was in the area. It's a good place to stop for pizza.”
