Its okay. I don't eat here anymore because it makes me really thirsty and my stomach can't handle the grease. I guess if your in a rush for some Chinese its good. Definatly affordable.
Tried it for the first time two days ago, already craving it again. Best egg rolls I've had in a long time.
Great Place, food and atmosphere. And my waiter was fast and friendly!!!????
Really nice takeout Chinese restaurant near where I live they're consistently good I usually order the general tso and the sesame chicken the people that work are very nice and attentive
I had not eaten food from here in quite sometime. As a result I had forgotten how good it is. A fair value too although some restaurants give you both an egg roll and small soup with their dinner combo. At Wah Yoan you will simply get the egg roll but it's a darn good one! Many places try to slip you a spring roll or an emaciated egg roll but not here.
On my recent visit I simply did General Tso's. Huge serving in a lighter colored sauce than some places but just right and with the token addition of a few pieces of nicely steamed broccoli. I go for steamed rice rather than fried so I'll get back to you on the latter next time. I also had some wonton soup and fried dumplings. Both tasty but not extraordinary. The soup broth is slightly on the lighter side flavor wise. My only minimal complaint is that the egg roll could have been drained more thoroughly after its dip in the fryer! I like when take out Chinese restaurants even put a paper towel in the egg roll bag to absorb extra grease but that is not the case at Wah Yoan.
Overall, really good for New York style Chinese takeout. One question though, why does no one seem to make fresh fried/dried noodles anymore? The airy type that are more soft and more like the outside of a good egg roll. Everywhere you go these days they are stale, hard, and like those you find in a can in the grocery store?
