The siblings kept their dads dream alive by keeping the restaurants feel as if you were back in time. “So I have never been to this type of establishment however my friends and I had a great time! Not sure if this is always the case, however ladies are free to get in when I went and guys were $10. These ladies seemed to be very professional and nice. A small altercation did breakout but security was on it and resolved it quickly. The food was actually very tasty which I was not expecting. Fresh foods, no hot oil fondue to make the restaurant smell like burnt oil, reasonable prices, and a fairly extensive adult beverage menu. The cheese and chocolate fondue are lovely. Bring a friend - cheese and chocolate have a minimum of two portions (you can only make it so small before it doesn't heat/blend properly).”

“Considering this is a small spot inside a gas station, his empanadas and alcapurrias were amazing! I have looked all over for a small Spanish spot that made this. I just ordered pasteles from him for the holidays, hopefully they are just as good as the other things he makes. If you are into Puerto Rican style food and are familiar with the cuchifritos style restaurants from NYC then you owe it to yourself to try it. Definitely will go back! ”

“What a fantastic breakfast! Chalten Bakery is a little hard to find, but well worth it. Once you turn on to Live Oaks Blvd, drive past the Asian restaurant to the long white building a bit further back on the right. They’re right next to the Yield sign. First off - the coffee is great. Way better than the brown water you get at most of these breakfast places around here. Good, strong, not bitter in the least. The breakfast menu is not large - this isn’t one of those diner type places. We had the Avocado Toast. All of the breads and baked goods are made here, and made well. Beautiful bread, perfectly toasted. The avocado topping was super super fresh, tasty, and very generous. The over easy egg was perfectly cooked. The owner (a really nice guy) is the one making the coffee and the food, so the service is not lightning quick - but it is definitely worth it. Handmade stuff done well is worth it. Chalten Bakery is one such place.”

“Yesterday afternoon at approximately 1320 hours myself, my mother her granddaughter and new husband ate here. we used some coupons that we had this place is located on 1792 right in front of Target. We arrived a little earlier than they did and the wait staff was excellent they were friendly and attentive. We ordered our food they got it all right Dan and I got the meal for 6 bucks which included burger fries a milkshake and a salad or some other side item that you might like. But the whole thing was great and they still have the four items for $4 on their menu, in my opinion it's not in the same level is Culver's but if you want a good meal at a fair price and a good atmosphere the steak and shake is a good place to go”
