We finally made it to South Kitchen and Spirits - and I must say I am blown away!!! ????I love the high quality of the food, the high standards and creativity of the kitchen and the friendliness of the staff! ???? What a great experience - we definitely come back!
Very excellent Chicken and Waffles! Would also recommend the Cheese Cake as well! The menu is a variety of southern food from chicken and waffles to burgers with pimento cheese! Brand new place so the grounds are very clean and the staff is very friendly!
Was their for a late lunch with two friends last Friday. There were only three seated tables in the dining room. After we were seated it was about 10 minutes before waitress came to table. Ordered cocktails which took about 15 minutes to arrive. Had to ask for water twice as it was forgotten the first time. Took about 30/45 minutes for food to come out. Food was mediocre. Portions were small for the prices. Went for dinner about three weeks ago, but turned around and left when I heard the noise level. Why do restaurant owners keep building restaurants with exposed ceilings and concrete floors? You can only do one or the other, otherwise you create a nightmare of sound bouncing from floor to ceiling and back. Hope this restaurant improves as I would really like to see it do well.
If you don’t absolutely LOVE the beef stroganoff, chicken and dumplings, and cast iron mac and cheese, then you need to re-evaluate your life. The food is some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Traditional favorites prepared in a bold, unique way.
Fun atmosphere and great layout. The menu was interesting and reasonably priced. I had the chicken and waffles. The syrup it came with was odd, but good enough. The desserts were ok but I'd suggest the peanut butter pie.
