Memphis Jax BBQ

This is my go to local bbq restaurant. I always like their beef brisket and the wide variety of sides where you do not have to settle for fries all the time. To avoid being turned away, make sure you call before you go because they would close early sometimes when they are out of food especially on Fridays and Saturdays dinner time. Good service always. The collard greens are cooked on the sweet side (which was a surprise when I first tried it). Deviled eggs, black eyed peas, baked beans, small potatoes and fried okra are always delicious.

Best pulled pork my wife has ever had. The sauce is awesome to. I stop in frequently and get a pound of pull pork to go and it is always great!

Decent Q, except that is very dry. Both pulled pork and brisket were dry and lacked much in the way of BBQ flavor. Otherwise, meat quality was good. Will not return soon, but won't rule it out.

Love this place, always fast service and unbelievable food quality. Come get you some!
And oh yes, Thursdays offer the best chicken n dumplings you've had in a long time
