Has all that old palm valley feel. Sit along the water and eat some of the biggest and tastiest shrimp around. Plus you can rent a kayak and get on the water. Worth the drive.

Saw the wait line at Safe Harbor so hubby and I decided to give Palm Valley Fish Camp a go due to some recommendations from friends. NEUTRAL: Parking is very cramped so complimentary valet parking is offered. To be honest, I wasn't sure I was at the right place. I thought it was an extension of the parking lot for the restaurant next door. CON: We had a reservation but still waited approximately 15-20 minutes before being seated. SO-SO: Our server Jeff was somewhat attentive. I did have to ask another employee for assistance with something. The couple seated next to us attempted to get his attention a few times to get refills. SO-SO: We shared the low country boil for two. When I first started to eat the crab legs, I caught a whiff of a bad smell; but, the claw meat tasted okay so didn't say anything. When it came to the cluster, it had a strong ammonia smell. I didn't eat any of it. PRO: The shrimp seemed fresh. It was easy to peel - not overcooked or rubbery. PRO: I'm not a big Old Bay fan. The country boil didn't reek of it and the flavor was tasty. CON: The sausage in this dish is normally cut in 1-3 inch pieces. Ours was cut thin, thinner than sliced pepperoni. CON: The corn stiff/hard like it was picked too soon. CON: Atmosphere was cramped and very noisy. OVERALL: Based on the other reviews, it seems like this restaurant is a hit or miss. We won't be back again.

Had 2 doz. oysters, half from TX, half from Canada. We couldn't decide which were better. The beet salad was delicious. Also had the white bean and grilled octopus salad ( the octopus was a little dried out). Sat at the bar and it was lively. Great service.

Fantastic! Great atmosphere, great staff and excellent food. The Shrimps and Grits, Blackened Mahi (and collard greens), Hush Puppies, Ruby Shrimp appetizer, fried seafood baskets, everything, was very good. You can tell they slow cook their vegetables to Southern perfection, and the fresh seafood cannot be beat. This is a 'must go' if you're anywhere within 20-miles. We'll certainly be back, and will do what we can to get by until then.

Very nice spot with some great eats. Food was much better than we were expecting. Appetizers, main course and dessert, food was very very good. They only have beer or wine which is a bit disappointing. Would love a cocktail at this place. Service was very good. Check it out!!
