Uptown Scratch Kitchen

Guys. GUYS. I can’t express how good this food was. We shared a 2-3 pound whole red snapper, lightly fried, on rice with a homemade corn salsa. It was incredible. Perfectly cooked, not even slightly fishy. This fish must have been super fresh. I spend way too much money on food, and this was one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had. For the price it was almost criminal.

While we were waiting for the fish, I could smell the rosemary French fries and they smelled incredible. Then I watched the guys hand cut these fries and I just had to have some. I begged for a few and they brought me a giant basket of fries, fried rosemary stalks, and fried garlic. It was lightly salted and pure heaven. These were, hands down, the best French fries I’ve ever had. They changed my life. I’m going to have dreams at night about these fries. Please, go eat their food. They deserve your money. I can’t believe they’re making food this good out of a truck.

If it matters, the service was also really good. Friendly and quick, great service. But they could have thrown those fries at my head and I’d still have said they were the Best. Fries. Of All Time.

The quality of food, flavor, and portions have never disappointed my husband and me when visiting Uptown Scratch. The service we have experienced has always been friendly and helpful. The last time we went rain rolled in and the owner brought out an umbrella and the chef literally held another umbrella so we could finish our meal without getting soaked! Never have I experienced that in my life! Will definitely go back every time I'm in St. A.

Cute little foof truck offering 8-10 selections that are prepared to order, delicious and each seem to have a slight twist of flavor to what you have typically eaten. Delightful. They have 2 picnic tables in front but the food truck is located beside a coffee/ wine bar with tons of seating and a very friendly agreement that allows the Uptown Scratch Kitchen staff to freely wander inside and out delivering your food order and checking up on you to see how you liked it or if you need anything.

Fantastic, tasty cajun style chicken on French roll. Fish n chips fresh cod. Nicely seasoned. Rosemary fries too salty for my taste, but still delicate and delicious.

Outstanding local, delicious food with fantastic service! These guys were excellent hosts and chefs! The service was great and it was fun to check out the coffee and wine bar for seating. We love seeing collaboration among reciprocal businesses. Scratch and Dos have a marriage made in heaven. We will definitely go back! Whether you order the fish and chips, Blackened chicken Bowl or Fried chicken And onion rings- bring your appetite- you can't go wrong!
