EVERYTHING was amazing. Not much more to say. The food was perfectly cooked, and the place itself was charming. Good prices, very broad menu. You can get a simple but filling breakfast for $5. We’ll be back for sure.
I'm being generous giving FA Cafe 3 stars. I've heard great things about the owner herself. However, last night Margie must not have been there. We sat outside at first and out waitress was friendly enough and attentive. We had a round of drinks for Happy Hour. Later that evening we decided to go inside as it was getting a bit chilly. The black bean soup was delicious. My friends enjoyed the oysters. Around 9pm our waitress was prepping coffee filters a friend asked about ordering coffee along with patrons at another table. Our waitress informed us that the coffee was for the next morning. We thought it was odd she couldn't, (wouldn't) brew a pot.
Unfortunately, around 9:15pm,( they close at 10pm) there was singing from the kitchen and our waitress. The song included the phrase, "Get the f#*k out of here, sayonara repeatedly. Needless to say, we will never go back. By the way we are locals.
They have an awesome bean soup sweetened with bananas that me and my toddler loved. The fried plantains were a great snack and super tasty. Low cost yet nicely put together home cooking. Very hip place to sit and eat and they have super mojitos to sip on. Well done!
