Short rib special incredible as well as bone in pork loin, and salmon. Our favorite are the lollipop lamb chops but not this visit. Service is the best in town

Good service. Clean and quiet enough to converse. Meal was okay, but not as good as we expected. Both my wife and I had the special which was goat cheese crusted ribeye with fig jam, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Also ordered a side of the garlic and lemon spinach. If the special is "crusted", I expect crusted. Instead it was a steak with sweet fig jam on top with some blobs of goat cheese on top of it. Hardly what I envisioned as crusted. Meal needed salt...steak, spinach, asparagus...even my wife's soup. And we don't add salt to stuff usually. I didn't care for the sweetness of the jam but my wife enjoyed it. Potatoes were pretty good. Spinach was okay but we make better at home to be honest. Part of the creme brulee topping was burned so it had a bitter flavor. The custard part was lovely, but I wasn't a fan of the star fruit. I've never had star fruit before so I imagine this is just a personal preference.

Maybe it was a bad night. Maybe we didn't choose a good meal. The menu looked very interesting. Will probably give it another try eventually because I've seen such rave reviews and because I know everything I cook doesn't always turn out like I planned. I'd say give it a shot and see if you have a better experience. I hope you do!

Love this place! Great menu and specials, all prepared perfectly and with excellent service. Have been going to or taking out for years and never any problems. Given all the recent closings and/or sales of long-established St. Augustine restaurants, Purple Olive is now one of our top go to places.

I can't attest to the food, yet, but the customer service (over the phone) is great! I called, from states away, to get a gift certificate for a friend who visits ST. A. and they made no hesitation to get me one and mail it. Quick and easy.

Purple Olive catered our wedding in july 2018 and we were absolutely pleased with their service. Peter was my main contact and everything was perfect from the tasting trial to the dinner reception. He made sure to pay attention to allergy restrictions and offered a great choice for kids meals. Staff and servers were kind and very professional. The guest loved the meal options and we were more than happy with the service! Thank you!
