Very unique, well made, menu. Good prices and friendly staff. I recommend the Mahi tacos!

I simply love this place. We were excited when they opened a second location and the food and service were just as exemplary as the original St. Augustine restaurant. Daily specials are always on point, service is friendly and quick, nice beer/wine list and bar none the best Cuban Sandwich on the First Coast!

Cute place in Butler Beach. The Back 40 Burger and Cuban sandwich are so good! The potato salad is some of the best I’ve had. They have birch beer on tap which is hard to find in Florida. Wide menu variety so likely find something for everyone. Updated March 2019... The Back 40 taste hasn’t been the same the last few times... Hoping will get back to what it was!! Was surely something “special” that’s missing...?

Absolutely delicious sandwiches and more, packed well to take home. Meatloaf bacon burger was sublime. A bit hidden, same side as Viola's a bit north, in behind an office. Hang in there, it is worth it.

Enjoyed our evening at the Back 40. I ordered the Wet Burrito with the grilled chicken. It was very good. The filling of rice, beans and chicken had a wonderful mix of flavors, and the baked on red sauce gave it an additional layer of taste without making it spicy. I would order it again, but be sure to be hungry as it is huge. The cheese cake for dessert was to die for. Staff were all very friendly even thou they we're pretty busy. Will definitely be returning.
