We ordered to go. The smell of the food in the car was just amazing. It's only 2 miles home, I wanted to pull over and eat whatever smelled so good.
The flavor matches, mostly. The Cuban I had was very good, the home fries with it, not so good. The wife had a turkey club, and had no complaints.
I'm interested in trying more stuff here. Just not the fries again.
Just had a delicious bacon, egg and cheese sandwich! Nice clean restaurant with good quality food and deserts!! Have picked up deserts here before, but this was the first time I have had breakfast. Nice little local cafe with a great atmosphere! I will definitely try many other items on the menu!
Update: Had another great breakfast with a take home of amazing pastries! The owner informed us they will soon be open for dinner including live music and individual asado grills on the table, so looking forward to that!
An interesting addition to the area, this unique eatery offers both pastries and food in a fun environment with paintings on the walls. Service was great, and the food was pretty good. We tried once pastry, a lemon mousse encased in yellow chocolate shaped like a real lemon, that was delightfully sour and decadent.
We went for breakfast, and mostly were not disappointed. The kids loved their choices, one a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich served hot and melty, and the other the Cravings Bowl, a heaping serving of eggs, potatoes, and much more. He also had a chicken empanada he enjoyed. I tasted the accompanying sauce and was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and flavorful it was.
My bagel and lox was not as impressive, unfortunately. There was a heaping portion of lox which was very good, but the bagel itself was blah. I asked to have it hollowed out and don't believe they understood what that meant as it came unhollowed. The accompanying onion and capers were so scarce as to barely be there and I would not have known had I not seen them when trying to determine if the bagel was scooped.
Coffee was fresh, hot, and delicious. Love how it is served in a pot they leave on the table.
Overall, I will return and try something else. They boast a cuban sandwich I will have to try for sure, and maybe an empanada. There are multiple flavors and all looked delicious.
Pro tip: The front door slides open very wide when you walk up to the entrance. While it looks really cool, I would be concerned about blasts of cold air entering the restaurant in the winter. Choose your seats accordingly.
Great addition to the community! Has Italian and Spanish meals and pastries. Been here four times and each experience has been delicious and super pleasant. Met the husband and wife and they’re super nice people. I had the specialty skillet breakfast and it was packed with so many delicious flavors…egg, bacon, ham, peppers, cheese and potatoes. Too much for me to eat, needed to take rest home. Could have shared with my husband but he had an omelette with bacon, hash browns and toast and he was full. They have several coffee options and loads of desserts. Will be back!
A neat concept, with some drawbacks. The menu is daunting, leaving one scrambling to decide what to choose. I think a slimmer menu, with some items delivered as daily specials. This would make the person ordering feel more confident in their decision. As for the ambiance, the music is nice, the staff are friendly, and the layout is nice. Something on the TV other than news would be nice, though. The server Debbie was helpful in navigating the menu and knowledgeable of the offerings.
