I went for dinner with my family and we were simply speechless at the taste of “La tabla Loca” A board of assorted meats that is simply DELICIOUS. The taste of the food as up to pair with the cozy environment and the friendliness of the staff. I’ll be looking forward to come back to Salsas at Palencia, many times in the future. We went upstairs to the “ghost bar”, didn’t see anything, but it is definitely creepy up there. Overall, excellent restaurant and the food is spectacular. Try the onion rings, best I ever had!!”

My father had the meatloaf sandwich which he loved and my mother had the Cuban Sandwich and she said it was delicious. I had the beef and veggies that was sautéed and was blown away with how good it was. Also liked the 150 Salad.”

“I’m giving this 5 stars because I’m obsessed with pretzels and cheese sauce. It’s my favorite snack food to buy. The pretzel itself was delicious and did not have too much salt. It was buttery and thick, but that’s how I like mine, I don’t like mine almost burnt. They have a pretty good menu with a lot to choose from, according to other reviews, they have great hot dogs which I might give a try the next time I stop by. It took a minute to get the pretzel but it’s because it was being cooked fresh and it was well worth it.”

“You can park for $10 next to the restaurant and enjoy great food and service. After you can walk around the historic district. The staff were friendly and helpful. They took the time to answer our questions and recommend dishes. We had the Shrimp and Grits and Cornbread Stack with Flounder. Both were delicious! We followed up with the amazing caramel drizzled apple pie with whipped cream on top. Unforgettable experience!”

“This was easily the best meal we had in a week in St. Augustine, and actually one of the best brunch meals we've had ever. The menu is full of such interesting options, it was hard to choose. We actually ended up getting three meals between the two of us because it was so hard to pick. The hipster toast, strata, and chicken biscuit with gravy were all amazing and elevated beyond the typical breakfast spot. The restaurant decor is downright beautiful. I can see why they are also an event space. Music was great, staff was happy to be there, overall it was just a really good experience. Highly recommend it.”

“This is honestly the best food I’ve eaten in a long time. The chef is AMAZING and everything was perfect. The clear soup was bursting with flavor, and the temperature and presentation was impressive. The salad was so fresh, and refreshing. The hibachi filet mignon is what I ordered. The veggies were cooked perfectly, resting next to a pile of warm rice, laying in a bed of this perfect brown savory sauce. I have no idea what the sauce was, but I want it on everything. The filet was beautiful and tender. I’m DEFINITELY coming back and sending friends. I haven’t tried the sushi yet but it’s next on my list. I’m about to go into a food coma from heaven. Very nice people, very nice place.”
