The Live Oak Gathering

Hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to in Florida. Very clean inside, restaurant feels modern and has nice tables / chairs. Food and drinks 10/10. Staff and waitresses 10/10. Would give 10 stars if I could 🤟🤙

First time at the gathering, the open two story floor plan while very friendly is a little on the noisy side. Servers are friendly but missed important things like napkins and knives. Main dishes are on-point but at sides were rather disappointing. Coleslaw was bland and virtually tasteless. Potato salad was ok but could have been better with a little more time effort. Mash potatoes and gravy less than satisfactory. All in all good food and I give the gathering 3 stars for the poor performance with side dishes.

We had lunch today and it was really great! We arrived by 11:30 am and it was already pretty full. Our server was prompt and knowledgeable of the menu. The other staff members were also friendly as they walked through the restaurant. Love the ice for drinks! Although the restaurant was visible busy, our food was delivered to our table within a reasonable amount of time, everything hot and fresh.
What we had: 2 French Dips. 1with mashed potatoes that were described as the best in town and homemade. Gravy was equally satisfying. The other with fries which were very crispy and delicious. The French dip itself was very tasty and a good portion.
The other lunch was the Italian Melt which was very well liked, also served with fries.
We will definitely be back!
The downside: It's quite noisy due to the construction of the interior. We were not bothered by this but feel it could be a problem for older patrons.

We missed the Live Oak Gathering for the few years they were gone and we were so happy to hear that they were back in a new location.
They did an awesome job with the new location and they can accommodate so many more tables. The place was hopping when we stopped there for late lunch on Saturday April the 9th, sometime after 1pm. There was a line at the door and out the door.
The food was great, the service was on spot and the atmosphere was jovial.
The prices were a bit higher than they had before but this is going to be a new normal with most restaurants. We overheard someone complain about the prices. Sorry to say but a couple of the other restaurants in town have raised their prices quite a bit as well. So, I wasn't surprised by this and you can't go by what the prices were a few years ago.
The Reuben I ordered was melt in your mouth delicious. Our daughter had the steak which she devoured and my husband had the cheeseburger. All of the food was delicious, our appetizer was hot and tasty, as it was the bacon & cheese fries. Those servers were going and going, up and down those steps and making sure the customers had anything they asked for.
