Best donuts any of us have ever had! Great breakfast and great service. Grits were so good they converted my picky eater into a fan. I’d come back any time we’re in Steinhatchee.

Can't complain about the breakfast. How can you really mess up breakfast? Really sweet help. Real nice. Owner checked at our table rack morning we were there.

My husband and I spent the day exploring Steinhatchee and decided to stop at McDavid’s Cafe for lunch based on the reviews. It was a great experience! The club sandwich and country fried steak were delicious! The service was excellent. We really enjoyed the experience. The homemade donuts were amazing - thank you so much!! We wish Richard and Diane continued success and will be back soon for the great food and fishing tips!

We are just passing through Steinhatchee on a little adventure day trip and happened to see McDavid's Cafe so we stopped in. What a wonderful treasure, it was like stopping at Grandma's house for breakfast and getting a home cooked meal prepared in a way only Grandma can do!! We had the corn beef hash, homemade biscuits, grits and the warm homemade donuts!! The waitress was so kind and helpful it reminded us of how people treated each other with true warmth and friendliness back in the day!! Would highly recommend this place if you like the taste of home cooked meals!
