Hunter's has been in business in Deland, FL for over seventy years. It is a local family business. It is a good restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The servings are abundant and the food is good home style cooking. The servers are friendly and welcoming to make their guests feel right at home. I highly recommend having breakfast there. The portions are enough to keep you full until dinner time.

It is great to checkout old family run restaurants. This place has that old dinner vibe and menu. There are some great southern food choices such as grits. I ordered a simple breakfast of bacon, overeasy eggs, and hash browns. The eggs were absolutely perfect. The hash browns had a great crust, but the bacon was not crisp. Initial service was a little slow, but once they got to me, the food order came quickly and my coffee cup stayed full. The biggest draw are the prices. Everything I ordered and it was all less than $10.

Lovely little diner since 1949. I had a fantastic Spinach and Swiss Omelet. The Queen Bee had Eggs Benedict and said it was great. The waitress was very nice and served us outside on the sidewalk. I highly recommend Hunter's for breakfast. I'll be back for lunch soon.

Good size & very tasty at a very reasonable price. They were very busy but the friendly wait staff kept up.
    I'll definately eat here again.

Small, quiet cozy environment, with televisions on mute or low to allow for good conversation and enjoyment of the menu. Ordered an everything omelet w/ two additional eggs, which was delicious and cooked to order.
I can see why they have been open for as long as they have: they're excellent at what they do and they know it. A must-have for anyone wanting a hearty breakfast alone or with friends/family!
