Goombas & Family Pizzeria

With what seems like a new locally-owned place shutting down weekly lately, we’ve been trying a new local place as often as possible. The food was wonderful and the people making it were even better. Spent maybe 20 minutes speaking with Lala, one of the owners and between her and their food, I think we’ve found our new local pizza place. Pizza was flavorful, crust was wonderful, not too crispy and not soggy. I’m not a pizza connoisseur and couldn’t tell you the difference between a jersey slice or nyc slice or whatever, but this is just great pizza. Antipasto salad was awesome and full of great ingredients. Will 100% done-in next time. Support locally owned restaurants, especially one with food this good.

Was driving past an seen the place did a u-turn and came back. Upon arriving was promptly greeted with a smile and warm welcome. I ordered the Italian chopped hoagie, which was huge! I couldn't finish the whole thing.I also ordered the mozzarella wedges an with my dinner it came with home made rolls that were to die for!! I had the honorable pleasure of meeting the owner "Lulu" she was a absolutely sweetheart. She said how that all the breads and everything is made in house fresh! I knew when I bit into that sandwich that bread was something different. I will definitely be back!!

Stopped for a quick slice. Fast service! This has to be the closest thing I've had to NYC Pizza here. Amazing prices & the sweetest staff! Definitely will be back!

Pretty nice spot for pizza (and excellent sweet tea!) here in Daytona- they make their own dough and everything is very fresh, which makes the difference in good pizza vs. blah pizza for sure. The menu (updated one coming soon) has a large selection of all sorts of things to try out from sandwich style items to calzones and more. If you're passing through town, give them a try!
