Port Orange Steakhouse

I have eaten here several times. Some items I have tried are good, others not so much. The other night, my steak was over charred and very dry and flavorless. The fries were crispy. The salad was straight out of a bag and tasted old. My server never brought ketchup so I tried to borrow one from the next table but theirs was empty! He also never refilled my water or asked me if I wanted another glass of wine or dessert. The manager stopped at random tables to touch base with other customers, but skipped me. I am in no hurry to go back; there are too many other places to eat in the area.

My husband & I went for the $6.99 burger special tonight. We arrived by 5 pm, so were seated immediately. I had the triple cheese burger with fries which were good; my burger was undercooked a little, but flavorful. I had potato soup that was good too. My husband had a regular burger that was good, plus mac & cheese. Good deal meals!

Our meal and waitress, Michelle was awesome. We had steak, which was done perfectly as well as the potato and salad. Michelle has a truly great personality and was a pleasure. We’ll for sure be back.

The food was excellent! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff (thank you Janet for great service). Don't let the fact that it is located in a strip mall fool you that the restaurant is below par. It's a gem and worth your patronage. They go as far as serveing you warm bread before your meal to add a touch of class. We will definitely be back.

My family was looking for a steakhouse coming up to Daytona from the south, and we stumbled upon this place. It looks unsuspecting, being part of a strip mall, but we were all pleasantly surprised.

The service was excellent. Our server was a delightful woman and she accommodated our every request. We never had to wait too long for her to come by even though the establishment was very busy.

The food was absolutely phenomenal. My entire family enjoyed their meals; I ordered a salmon pasta with shrimp added by request, and it was, bar none, the best salmon and shrimp I'd ever had. It was a significant amount of food and came at a very reasonable price.

For dessert, they actually show you a platter of plastic models displaying exactly what you can get and how big the portion is. All the selections looked tasty; I got some kind of banana-chocolate cake, and it was excellent!

I highly recommend this place. If I were ever in the area again, I would return without hesitation.
