First time trying it tonight. Food was good, service was good. Checked my receipt when I got home saw they charge a non cash fee for using a debit card. Since I feel prices are high for sandwiches the added fee is a non starter probably won't go back.
Fantastic restaurant will all the family feels. The food is amazing, and the staff is top notch! We love bringing our huge family as often as we can. The kids love the food which is another hugeeeee plus! Daily specials and a perfect place to celebrate a birthday!! We love everyone there and will continue to frequent for a long time. :)
Food was great. Meals consisted of Bacon mushroom Swiss burger, jalapeño burger, regular cheeseburger, fish sandwich. All came with shoe string fries. We ordered fried pickles as appetizers. Everything tasted great. Service was great. The only down side was if you use a credit card you get charged a service charge for using it and a small sign on one of the entrance doors is the only way you know this. Really should tell your customers up front before they order because a lot of people don't see a tiny sign posted on the door. Take cash with you to pay if you don't want a credit card service charge.
These coney dogs are TRANSCENDENT. Creative combination of toppings and attention to detail are the hallmarks of hot dog stand genius. Truly great Coney Dogs start with the hot dog itself...and these are special. Awesome flavor and crucial "pop" after being cooked to plump perfection on the flat-top.
Next...you gotta nail the Chili.
I LOVE the choice of Chili on your dog...Flint or Detroit...didn't know the difference before enlightenment...but come try them both and join the great debate on which is better.
I have now been here four or five times (brought my elderly parents in for the Friday New England Fish Fry...now THEY are regulars too). The quality of the food coming out of this kitchen demonstrates that the cooks on the line actually care...the buns are steamed, the fries are hot and crisp, the onion rings are crunchy and the sandwiches are huge.
The place is clean and fresh, servers are quick and friendly. Get there early for dinner though...because they are not open late.
Definitely worth a try. I really like this place and have already recommended it to several friends.
What a wonderful place for hot dogs and chili. I really like their hot dogs especially because they have that wonderful snap when you take a bite. And the two types of chili should satisfy any taste. But let me tell you a secret and let's just keep it between us. I think their hamburger is over the top. I had the bacon cheeseburger with sauteed onions twice now. I'm still drooling just thinking about it. Perfectly toasted bun, juicy perfectly cooked burger and sweet sauteed onions nice melted cheese and delicious bacon. Oh don't let me forget the crispy fries that come along with it. Oh and the lettuce and tomato I asked for on the side which I eat with a little mayo as a salad. I don't like cold salad on a hot burger. Walk in this place and you get a wonderful greeting and the servers are extra friendly and helpful. By the way don't forget to keep our secret about the burgers!!!
