The Whale's Tail Beach Bar & Grill

This is an annual favorite for us! Located right on the beach, making this the perfect spot for lunch or refreshing cocktails in the afternoon! They have quite a crowd at breakfast time, although we’ve not been here for breakfast. The Bushwhacker is by far our favorite! Refreshing treat, topped with fresh whipped cream! Staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable and in line with portions. We always walk here, so parking for us is never an issue!

We had breakfast outside overlooking the deck. The service was very good and the atmosphere was phenomenal. All the usual options for breakfast were available. The prices were more reasonable than expected given the area in general, and the location more specifically. Our omelet was on the large side and delicious, but the biscuit was spongy and may have likely been microwaved.

On our recent trip to Sandestin, we visited the Whale's Tail on our first day for lunch and some beach time. We ended up coming back every day for the next 3 days. Good beach in front of the place with chairs & umbrella for rent and the food at the Whale's Tail is great! They also have a walk up beach bar. Burgers, Calamari, Seafood tacos, all great! Friendly staff. We would order from the beach and they would have it all packed up and ready so that we had all the condiments we needed to enjoy it on the beach. Fun place to enjoy the beach with food and drink close by.
