This is nice coffee shop with decent coffee and pastries. The Tan Line was my wife’s favorite, Nitro was perfect for the hot weather, and Chai was good. The biscuit with butter & jam is a must. The kids loved the giant sprinkled cookie. They do automatically charge a “service fee” then prompts to add a tip. The ladies working were pleasant and was a super chill spot to take a break from the crowds.
Delicious brunch and pasty items. The avocado tartine was perfection and the cinnamon roll was one of the best I've had in a long time. There was a line to order that was out the door, so we knew it must be good, and it did not disappoint!
We usually go to the other Black Bear Bread Co but decided to try this new location.
This location is a lot better than the first one. It’s easier to get to, more modern and updated, and seating is a little easier.
The food never disappoints in my opinion. The pastries are always on point but this time I tried one of their bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits. It was really good and a pretty large portion.
I don’t know what all these losers are complaining about price for. Every single restaurant and shop along 30A in this part of town is charging inflated prices. And it’s not because they’re greedy. It’s expensive to do business down there.
If you’re planning on shopping and eating in Seaside or Santa Rosa, plan on dropping a lot of cash. That’s just the way it is.
The Cinnamon roll, BEC on a biscuit, and BEC on Country Sourdough were all fantastic and looked like a model meal. A robust menu relative to other breakfast spots within walking distance also makes this place hard to beat.
Whatever caused early reviews to average down seems to be resolved for the better. Each time we have coffee or eat here it has been a delight.
The only reason this isn’t 1 star or MAYBE a 2 star is because the cinnamon roll was the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had in my life.
They overcharge you here for everything (except the cinnamon roll), and have a 15% mandatory gratuity even though you’re ordering take out, and the service sucks. And they STILL ASK FOR A TIP when you pay.
I’ve heard this location doesn’t do service to the company as a whole, but everyone working inside aside from one girl working the register was rude and had an attitude. Wouldn’t go back to this location again.
