I love this restaurant. They have nice people and really good and fresh food!
Oysters were good, and the duck ravioli too. For dessert I ordered a pie with berries, was the best pie I’ve ever had. The flakiness of the dough was 10/10, the balance between sour and sweet was good! Loved it. (Hope they bring back the Soul seeker cocktail 🥺)

The unique menu offerings are amazing! We tried the raw oysters, sourdough bread topped with scallops and mushrooms, and the whole pompano special. It was all amazing. The pompano was my favorite! Very unique and tasty. And the service, superb. They were attentive to refills, citrus for drinks was anticipated, constantly checking in. The food came quickly. Definitely coming back!

Business has been open for a year and already received an award. The staff was very informative, understanding of diet restrictions and considerate in their recommendations. We bought 2 cocktails that were very good and accurately described.

The lobster bisque was well reviewed by my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the oysters. They also incorporated a wonderful bit of showmanship to the cocktail my friend ordered lighting it ablaze and letting smoke roll out from it before he drank it very pretty and smelled delicious. He even redid it a second time so we could record.

The steak came out on a beautiful platter and they upsold us on surf and turf. However I did find that the crab we added was nearly unnoticeable in the meal which was disappointing in a surf and turf meal. The Brussels that layered the bottom of the bowl were overwhelmingly salty and threw off the flavor of the dish perhaps that's why the crab was unnoticeable. Mind you I could not find the crab visually either except in small clumps mixed with the Brussels. The mashed potatoes, absolutely delicious though I found the portion to be smaller than my liking.

Overall we had a wonderful time the food was delicious and it took 3 of us to finish the steak. With a nice bone to bring home to our dog. The staff were just lovely and I will definitely want to come by again in the future to try more menu items. I do recommend.

Our favorite place! Our server Danny was so knowledgeable about the menu and helped guide our dining experience seamlessly. Every dish was delicious. Can't wait to go back. Get the toast. I dream about that damn toast. Just do it.

I have been extremely excited to try Down Island and had set out a featured item in each category of the menu lol. My friend had the Black Bear sourdough topped with lobster and various sprouts and baby greens. Very tasty! I started with a dozen raw oysters. Two mignonettes, both delicious. The red wine one had me literally finishing the little bowl. And the horseradish? I have never tasted anything like this. The ice cold oyster topped with a delicious heap of creamily piquant horseradish followed insantly by the fiery afterburn of fresh horseradish. Next on the menu was the leek, crab soup. It was simply divine. The Matchstick potatoes Blended seamlessly with the creaminess of the soup. The main entree was extremely extremely hard to choose. I ended up with the Kings table farm chicken. I am not a huge consumer of chicken but they sold me at homemade parpadelle pasta. I am always in search of the perfect bite and there was not one bite and my Kings Table chicken that was not perfection. All of the sauces and seasoning and just great preparation made this a true culinary experience. I was excited to dine here and I cannot wait to come back. Also, Justin, the bartender made me amazing drinks! The pomegranate margarita is worth the trip simply because of the amazing color. The absinthe cocktail was just the right amount of flavor. I will definitely be back but also singing your praises to all who will listen. Bravo!
