The Daytrader Tiki Bar and Restaurant

The Daytrader has been open 7 days, and we have been twice already! The ambiance is incredible, the drinks are to die for, and the food takes your experience to infinity and beyond. If you’re thirsty, order the “Hot in Here” and thank me later.

We just got done having dinner here. We have been watching their development on Instagram and we’re super excited as locals to give it a try. First off the service was 10 out of 10. We did not have a reservation and we waited all of five minutes in peak season. The restaurant has an amazing bar as well as dining section and they have drinks and food that match it perfectly. The drinks are absolutely fantastic and are a pallet explosion in your mouth. The food is not only fresh, and local, but it’s absolutely delicious. My wife and I were licking our plates. Our server was amazing and I believe either the manager, or the owner, came over to check in and see how we were doing. Stellar service, stellar drinks, stellar food. One more because you asked for?

my husband and i came to the tiki bar opening night, and their drink menu has a lot of great, fun options. They come at a relatively high price point (we got the medical mai tai and were shocked to see the one small bag was 34 dollars for two people) but hey, that’s seaside. The food itself however, was a bit lackluster. We had the bahn me sandwich and the pork shoulder platter, alongside the spring rolls for an appetizer. In the nicest way possible, the food had veryyyyy little flavor. So much so I was thinking , “did I just get covid halfway through my meal?” My husband and I swapped meals halfway through, both of us thinking surely the other meal would be a bit more flavorful, but the grass was not greener on the other side. Salt and Pepper is a must for the table if there isn’t going to be ample seasoning. The service was nice, and with it still being a new restaurant, I am taking this all with a grain of salt (which i wish the chefs had put on our food) hence my 4 star review. There’s definitely room to improve here, and with the restaurant being on the nicer side, I can only hope the Daytrader does its Asian cuisine justice.

Fell in love with the vibes / stayed for the thoughtfully curated drinks. Ordered 3 small plates that were delicious & richly seasoned. Shout out to the Pink Lady (drink) & the Lumpia (dish)!
