Ray's Steaks & Ribs

Nice place, nice folks, good food and a little pricey. The portions are small in comparison to most other restaurants. The meal was served pretty promptly and it was good. Our waitress was very personable and fun. We will go back.

Steaks are great & the cheesecake is heaven in your mouth. Mr. Ray makes sure everyone is taken care of. Will definitely be going back!

I had passed by "Ray's Steaks and Ribs" several times while passing through Baxley, GA. Always to eager to get to or get back from somewhere to stop. My wife and I purposely drove the hour and a half to eat there. We were not disappointed. We started off with some delicious jalapeno poppers. Be careful. There's a hint of ghost pepper in there. Just like I like them. Just a little hot but not overbearing. I had the ribeye. My wife had the pulled pork. Both were delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked. The taste was exquisite. No additional condiments necessary.

Even better than the food was the conversation with Ray. He customarily meets every diner. I had the pleasure of speaking with him twice. Just don't get that kind of treatment much these days.

Didn't let them talk us into that cheesecake, this time. I needed an excuse to go back.

If you get the opportunity, stop in and eat. I think you'll like it.
