The food is awesome. The people that work there is very friendly. I will return.
Great food. Nice people
Everyone was so friendly and nice. I had broiled flounder. It was delicious. Cant wait to come back
Very friendly down home atmosphere. Great food. Always some left over
Interesting place and I imagine, one of the best seafood places in the area. For Sparta, GA, I’ll give it that. The restaurant is a very basic, large seating cafeteria type joint. Pitcher of sweet and non-sweet tea sits on the table.
Service is basic, salads come in a paper bowl with plastic forks. My wife had the broiled scallops. Unfortunately, they came in a bath of Italian dressing that overpowers the natural flavors of a scallop. I had the fettuccini Alfredo with scallops and shrimp. The fettuccine was terrible. The noodles were of good consistency, but the sauce was seriously lacking and show a lack of culinary prep due to them being tasteless. The cheap grated cheese on top was the same stuff they have in school cafeterias and was a huge disappointment, considering the paring with shrimp and scallops.
In short, they have a great base of seafood itself, but the missing part of the equation is the pairings and seasonings that fall seriously short. If they were to improve those aspects, I’d give it 5 stars.
A pleasant surprise was the grits. Yes, grits. They have two crock pots full of grits for everyone and I thought they were very tasteful.
