Edee's BBQ

I have now eaten here twice with my family. We dined in the first time and both of us ordered the chopped pork with 2 sides. Last night, we ordered out ribs and wings along with a few sides. The chopped pork, ribs, and wings are perhaps the best I've had (and I've tried almost every BBQ place within a 30 minute radius from West Jackson). Our order was ready right on time, and it was easy to tell they took time and care packing it for carry-out. I have been recommending this place to all of our friends.

We actually make travel plans around stopping to eat barbecue along the way. Needless to say, we’ve tried many. We tried Edee’s the other day and, let me tell you, the chopped pork was the juiciest, most wonderful pork We’ve had in years! Absolutely delicious! And the baked beans were great - they have a little cinnamon in them - as well! Also, they have five TVs to watch games, etc. in the covered pavilion. Try it!!

Best BBQ we have had in a long time. Great service. Smells great cooking. You know it is fresh.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I had been anxiously watching them build it out. I was not impressed. When I arrived, there was a sign at the checkout counter listing everything that they were out of. They were out of almost everything on the menu except for the pulled pork. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and french fries. The pork was overdone and way too smokey. It was also hard. I enjoyed the coleslaw. I ask for a cup of ice and they did not have any cups. Instead, they got me some ice in a styrofoam soup container.
I did enjoy the live music. There was a man there playing a guitar and singing some Neil Diamond and James Taylor songs. I would like to go back another time and see if I have a better experience.

Great BBQ! The meat was really good (chicken, pork and ribs). Awesome smoke flavor. The collards were really good too. They also have fresh pork skins. We had the seasoned and they were light and crisp.
