I really want to support local businesses but for 50$ for these two plates… it’s not acceptable.
Neither had any seasoning.
The lamb was overcooked and possibly the day before’s batch…. Way too much oil!
Do better….
First off, the service was absolutely above and beyond any expectation. The staff were hands down the nicest people I’ve ever been around in a restaurant. Chef Guru was a super friendly, personable individual, too! We had a part of five, three of which were brand new to Indian cuisine. All the food was prepared to order, not ahead of time, which is hard to find these days. Each dish was fragrant, fresh, and had its own unique flavor! I was very excited to see my favorite dish, Gobi Manchurian, on the menu! I would highly recommend giving this place a try!
Chicken tandoori, buttered chicken with garlic naan was very good.
Update: New Chef, Sudershan Kelam known as The Guru, is cooking here and it’s great! He started here 3 days ago and I’ve added new pictures. The chai tea is tasty as well!
I totally recommend this place! Good food, good service!
Went here for lunch. My only complaint is that there isn’t a separate menu for lunch. I could use a smaller portion that costs a little less. Still not a bad price for what you get. A majority of the dishes were $14.99. The rice was so light and fluffy, very fragrant too. We had the chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken with a side of the garlic naan. All three were super delicious. I got the tikka masala at a medium heat and loved it. I can’t wait to go back and try it a little spicier. If you are a garlic lover like me then you will really enjoy the garlic naan($2.99). I also tried a thumbs up for the first time. It was tasty. Very similar to a traditional coke, but stronger cola, with a floral after taste.
Recommended - we will be regulars!
Food was EXCELLENT, service and atmosphere are still working out the kinks of a start-up. As with most Indian restaurants you have to ask for ice in your water, it's not a service issue 😉, and the AC is generally not exactly southern comfort, but that's expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful as we've come to expect. The food is WELL worth the visit while they work through the growing pains.
We order and eat as a group, so we all got a sample of everything.
⭐⭐⭐⭐Chili Paneer (5 stars) as an appetizer, but would be a great vegetarian meal over rice.
The Garlic and Cheese Naan were AMAZING.
Our Entrees were ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Butter Chicken (we all agreed was the best), with
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Chicken Dum Biryani as a close second (there's flavors we've never had, in dozens of visits to Indian restaurants) . ⭐⭐⭐⭐Chicken Korma was really good, on par to what we're used to, although mild in spice (as was explained while ordering, they can make it more spicy upon request). ⭐⭐⭐⭐Tandoori Chicken had excellent flavor, but was probably the smallest in portion sizes.
⭐⭐⭐Chicken Malai Kabob was a big portion of large chicken pieces, with a very mild flavor sauce. Not the bold flavors I'd associate with Indian food, but would be great for the picky eaters. The mint sauce that was served with it really add a layer of flavor though.
