Update: their link to their online menu has changed, but now seems very incomplete. I'm not sure if they've reduced their menu items, but I'll update this review again once I've found out.
First - the food is excellent. The fish, pasta, and soul-food sundays are all things I literally crave now that I've had them. Take-out is a bit sloppy, especially because of the portion size (not a complaint, honestly). Your bread or fries may get soggy, but that's going to happen anywhere if the sandwich has sauce and the plate is steaming hot. I toss the fries in an air fryer at home, and they are perfect again. I also replace the bread with my own bun instead, which, if I have one, is my (only) major complaint about the food I've tried here in my several visits.
That said, placing your order can sometimes be frustrating, and the reason this is 4 stars instead of 5. I've called several times in a row and got a voicemail during business hours. I've also been put on hold for longer than I feel warrants "good service", and even had to call back (again getting voicemail) because the line was hanged up.
I'll certainly keep visiting this place, and hope they continue to grow and improve. If their storefront were literally anywhere in Macon besides the back of a building almost no one seems to know about, I think they'd be sold out every meal. Eventually, the extra hoops may weigh down my review, and I'll update it at that point. I honestly hope to give this 5-stars once the kinks are worked out.
I got the cheese steak. Easily one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had. Amazingly flavored with mushrooms and peppers. Even the plain fries had enough flavor to not need any sauce. Can’t wait to try the other dishes
The food is so flavorful and the portions are generous! I don’t even LIKE shrimp but something told me to try the Shrimp Po Boy and my my- it was absolutely AMAZING.
My husband tried the hibachi steak, chicken and shrimp with the homemade fried rice and yum yum sauce and I had to taste some of his too- it definitely rivals your favorite Asian steakhouse.
Now the only thing this place is missing is a dessert menu to go with all that delicious food 👀
