Fincher's Barbecue

I visited the gray hwy location. This was my first time trying Fincher's but I was buying for a group and they all raved about it so I definitely had to try it. The biggest complaint/recommendation that I have is that they need to post an online menu that is specific to each location. The problem I ran into was that the group used the online menu to place their orders but when I arrived to order, most everything I mentioned to order, I was told that it was not offered at that location. No biggie, just specify that on the website. The staff was super friendly and it was extremely busy but they were getting the orders out just as fast as they were coming in. The cashier was very helpful in explaining the menu and clarifying which location was actually representative of the online menu. First time trying the BBQ, for me it was just okay, I wasn't wowed and I've definitely had better. The food was hot and delicious but I can't personally brag on the taste like the others in my group. I would definitely try it again, probably at the Houston rd location just so that I can try the pulled chicken and other items not offered at the gray hwy location. It seems to be a city favorite when it comes to BBQ. Try it and see for yourself

The food is great. It's always hot. The employees are awesome. They are friendly. They treat the customers like family.

I picked up some ribs, Brunswick stew, and potato salad from this restaurant. All I have to say is A+ on everything! The ribs were tender and very tasty, and I love the sauces they added. I really liked the sweet sauce. The Brunswick stew was really yummy and the potato salad was great too. It is rare when you love the sides just as much as the main course. The service was outstanding. As a first timer, they really took their time reviewing the menu with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. 5 stars all the way!

We've eaten here my whole life, and it's still the best barbeque in Macon! We spotted in today just to try the Macon Burger Week specialty burger, and we weren't disappointed! Add crinkle-cut fries (always add your own salt while they're still hot!) and some of the best sweet tea in town, and you can't miss. Good for lunch and dinner, plus this location still has the original diner counter!

The place doesn't look like much. But this is GREAT BBQ that falls right off the bone. Well worth the effort and price...
