Rookery

I found this place online and came to it a couple days ago. I'm not far from Macon. The food and service of the place is really great! Was dipping the burger in the different sauces throughout. The order delivery was perfect, and you won't get charged for any extra sauce. You may have to wait a little while before getting seated to an empty table/booth, but the food and service of the place is definitely worth it! The milk shakes are awesome too! I'm not a fan of life, but this place is something good about it.

Nice atmosphere, good customer service... So I ordered a chicken sandwich with battered fries and the chicken was HALF cooked. The fries was great! I Informed the waitress, and she offered to have it recooked or replace it with something else... I didn't want anything else, so they removed it off my bill. I'll return but I'll be careful and check my food before eating.

The Rookery is awesome. They have the best hamburgers. We have tried several of the burgers. One thing we tried was the pimento cheese. Hubby was adamant he didn't like pimento cheese...UNTIL he tried theirs. He loved it. Just the atmosphere there is awesome. You never know who you see. One of our favorite places

We went here based on a suggestion from family during Christmas holidays. Downtown Macon was lit up very beautifully. The food is very good (even day old leftovers!). Although the sign up is high tech and easy, the wait to get a table was time consuming. Prices are decent and the atmosphere is intriguing. We weren't able to stay to ask a lot of questions but the service was really Very Good and the waitress was wonderfully attentive. We sat in the loft area (watch your head if you're over 6ft). The only reason I don't give this place a 5 star rating is the wait time for table...food came out pretty fast. Lots to talk about while you're waiting for food. There is a second restaurant (Dovetail Cuisine) inside the door. Make sure you tell host which restaurant you wish to visit.
