Southern Vegan Soul Cafe

I absolutely love this place. It has a little unassuming storefront at the farmer's market on Eisenhower. A little hard to find if you don't really know where you're going. They are closed on Saturdays and Mondays and close before dinner time the rest of the days. Google has their hours listed correctly. They have different menus depending on the day. I have yet to try anything that I didn't like. Be mindful that they cook everything to order so there will be a wait but it is so worth it, especially if you're vegan, vegetarian, or just like doing a meatless day here or there. Their cupcakes and cookies are SO good. If you call, they can do special and larger orders. Saw today that they've begun having open mic nights once a month as well. The owner is super friendly and knows what she's talking about food/health-wise. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Just stopped in on a road trip with my wife and we both got the BBQ bacon sandwich and it was amazing! We also got a couple of their cupcakes as well, as my wife is a vegan Baker herself, and even she thought they were amazing. Not only was the food great, but as was the hospitality. The two girls running the place were extremely polite and efficient. We will definitely be back on our way through next time!

Food was dynamic! Very friendly, quiet place. I loved the food. Got the pulled bbq and veggie burger...superb. We were able to meet the Chef!!! Will return multiple times.

Great vegan restaurant, dine-in or take-out, interesting location, awesome customer service, friendly, welcoming, clean environment, great selection of items on the menu, price range of desserts, flavorful entrees, and sides comparable to average restaurants, ALL items on the menu are VEGAN, no dairy products, no eggs, no meat, google maps is precise in its location, no tricks, located in the Farmer's Market, no business sign yet, but they are in there, consider visiting, you will not regret it, you will enjoy the experience and love the food, I will consider visiting again when passing through this city and even recommend to others who may want to experience a new take on vegan

Okay. I prefer to visit a place at least two or three times before I give an official review. I've just completed my third visit at this restaurant and I have yet to be disappointed. The service is excellent, the food is delicious and the owner Jessica comes out and personally ask if everything is okay!! We drive about an hour and a half one way to get to this place but it's worth it. This place is awesome!!
