Grit + Grain

Went for the first time last night and it was AMAZING! Our Server, Karen was very attentive, not only to our table but the others as well. Karen was very knowledgeable about the food options and even recommended her favorite dishes. Needless to say, everything she recommended was as advertised! We will be returning! 🫶🏼

Last minute dinner plans…. And it was perfect. I had the trout which was delicious and cooked just right. The other two in our party had the southern Schnitzel wich was also amazing. We will definitely be back !!

We showed up with less than an hour before close so we couldn’t get a vibe of the place. The decor is awesome. The inside looks like an old hunting cabin or grandma’s farm house or log home. True southern fare. I wish I had the appetite to try more than what we ordered.
Cool cocktails and good selection of local beers. We had the sugar stick old fashioned, the southbound wit, and the Hop’lin IPA. For dinner we had the pork chops, with mashed taters, roasted Brussel sprouts with cracklings, and the green bean casserole. Everything was “on point.”

Go experience it for yourself. The food was incredible. The staff was attentive and very friendly. The hiccup we had with our meal was taken care of instantly! The atmosphere was fantastic. They are only open from 5-8:30pm which can be difficult for dining since it is first come first serve, but so worth it!
We will definitely be going back in the near future.

Excellent service and great food with good company. We immediately got greeted at the door. We came in a little after 8 and didn’t realize they closed at 9 so we hurried and ordered. The drinks were exquisite. Made with all the right ratios. The food was absolutely amazing. I got the short ribs over whipped potatoes and veggies and my husband got the pork chops. Our server was Mike he did an awesome job with great recommendations. This place did not disappoint. We will be back.
