Light to medium size portions. Everything was chopped very fine. I like my bbq with a little more texture, and my Brunswick stew not made from minced beef. Clean, fast, and on the way. Nothing much else to say.

My favorite BBQ. Tangy sauce and pulled pork is so good. They also have Brunswick stew and good slaw. Worth checking out if you're a BBQ fan.

Other than what my husband cooks, it's my favorite barbecue and I love the sauce. A must visit when nearby. I love the nostalgia of how it really hasn't been updated - it looks to me the same as when my grandparents or great grandparents could've eaten there.

Love! The best barbecue! This is a vinegar based sauce, not sweet. The brunswick stew is the best I have ever had. The hickory smell inside is what makes the place my all time favorite.

In terms of the experience, Fresh Air is a ways off the beaten track and feels like a lodge in the country. That to me would be the most unique part of visiting.

The menu is quite limited. I have no problem with restaurants that specialize in one dish and do that dish superbly. However, Fresh Air serves only one type of meat - a pulled/shredded pork - and that was average at best. The meat didn't have a strong flavor of smoke and it wasn't particularly seasoned. The sauce is a strongly vinegar-based one and I overheard several people comment on it being too "vinegary."

The Brunswick Stew was nice enough and the brownies were good.

All in all I was a little surprised to see signs and shirts calling this the "best BBQ in Georgia." Perhaps at one time, but the menu is far too limited and there are just so many good BBQ options to say that today. I have travelled extensively eating BBQ throughout the South and I wouldn't be able to recommend it.
