This place is more unique than you'd expect! It was refreshing to walk into a bar that differs so much from Carrollton's typical college kid bar. Chess set, busts, but it was also eerie and macabre. I'd say that this place is a must visit! I only didn't rate it 5 stars because their menu is puuuuny. They said they were working on their menu, though. What kind of menu, I'm not sure. Guess you'll have to find out!

Very cool spot. Definitely try and stop by on a live music night! Barrel House Blues Band usually plays Fri and I highly recommend. ????????

There are good things about The Vault and disappointing things about The Vault. I visited 05/23/19 for the first time.

Let's start with the good: The atmosphere recalls a 1920s/1930s Speakeasy complete with Guilded Age figures adorning the walls, classic movies playing on a screen, and jazz music playing through the speakers. Artifacts scattered throughout will please an history lover. The menu is unique to Carrollton with many different types of hot dogs available for order. Affordable prices as well.

Now the bad: I'd love to know why it took 20 minutes (or more) to serve 4 hot dogs. Not only did it take 20 minutes to serve the hot dogs, but they weren't even that warm when my party got them almost as if they were cooked earlier and left in a warming tray. The place isn't exactly child-friendly either. They do not have high chairs and had to go next door to Sam's House to borrow a high chair. Sorry, but a hot dog venue should expect a child or two. Finally, I think this place is having a bit of an identity crisis: either you're open to the public or you're not. There is not any advertising to let you know they are open or even that it is a restaurant. If I hadn't read the City Menu's Facebook post, I wouldn't have even known it was open to the public.

Absolutely the best place on the square, everyone is friendly and I was treated like family. Hotdogs cooked perfectly and the shakes and devilishly delicious. If you haven’t been here yet, GO!!! I will be returning again very soon!
