The food is just okay... The atmosphere and people working there are friendly and attentive. It is definitely a better alternative for fast seafood than the local Long John Silvers.
So the food here was great and fast. There were no delays for any help if you needed it. 3pm to 11pm seem to be the best time here. Hands down overall good experience today.
We were hangry and looking for a lot of food at a an under $5 deal. We weren't sure if it was Long John's or Captain Dee's. We drive by the outdoor menu at Long John's and didn't see it. I was so glad. Every Long John's I've been to for years are a shadow of what they used to be. Captain Dee's has answered our call. The food is always good, consistently.
For $5 I got 3 country coated filets of white fish, not huge, but a lot of food. A LARGE battered dipped filet that Captain Dee's/Long John's are known for. 3 fried shrimp. 2 hush puppies...PLUS...2 sides!!!
WOW!!! Delicious and affordable!!!
I love Captain D's. I always get the 4 piece fish with slaw and fries that is what I am craving when I go there. The location in Ft Oglethorpe is usually pretty clean the staff is friendly, the dinning area is always a cold temperature. The only complaint we have is when we eat there in the dinning area the music is loud.
