Aunt Effie's Restaurant

This place was awesome. The fried pork tenderloin was fantastic. I had mine with mashed potatoes and fried corn nuggets. And if I'm going to make any suggestions on rolls or cornbread, it has to be for the cornbread.

We stopped here for thanksgiving because we have a sick baby, so we got to go plates. So good!! Will definitely be eating there again! And staff was amazing 💙

I have been twice since they opened. Both times it was crowded. Wait time was short.
The people were very pleasant and the waitresses were both good.
The lady yesterday was delightful.
The food:
The country fried steak with brown gravy is very good, portion was large. Mashed potatoes are the real deal and really good, thank goodness.
Don't order fried green tomatoes! They are (THINLY)
sliced overly battered and tasteless. I would take those off the menu or find a new recipe.
The cabbage could use doctoring up. It was very bland,. Fried potatoes and onions were dark colored and not crispy at all.
My son had hamburger steak and fried shrimp. Very good. Chocolate pie, good. His second visit he had the Frisco Melt sandwich and tater tots. It looked awesome and he said it was as good as it looked. Banana pudding was good, the custard was real but there was not a vanilla wafer in sight.
Will we go back? Yes, we will.
The Frisco Melt and our waitress would be worth it.
All restaurants have problems. I look forward to future visits here.

Loved the atmosphere and the people that helped us at the restaurant. There was a little wait for the food because they were booming on there second day! The food we had was great I had the open face roast beef and the wife had the chicken and dumplings. The waitress was terrific and I think we will give this place another try!
