This is one of the cleanest IHOPs we've ever patronized.
My family and I had driven 20 minutes to attend a screening of a movie and made a last minute decision to dine out. After looking around at our options we chose this establishment. We were not disappointed.
Although it seemed as if there was a skeleton crew on staff, we were greeted as soon as we stepped through the door and seated immediately. I'm sure being the only family at the time dining worked in our favor, however it was our hostess/waitress cheerful disposition that set the tone right from the start.
Here is what we observed:
The establishment was clean inside and outside.
The bathrooms were clean (in my opinion that and no strange odors emanating from the kitchen are a fairly good sign of the cleanliness throughout).
The food was fast, hot, fresh and delicious.
The manager on duty came out to see how we were enjoying our meal (although I don't always expect that, I really appreciate that small gesture).
The price was reasonable and the portions sufficient for the price.
If there were any background music playing, it was low enough to still be able to enjoy a conversation without any unnecessary distractions.
Even when other patrons who entered later were a bit curt when trying to get the waitress attention, she was very friendly and accommodated them as quickly as possible.
All in all, our family enjoyed our first visit here and the next time we're in the area, will make another stop.
A solid choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It's difficult to review chain restaurants. You tend to have an opinion formed from other locations as well. However, Pooler seems to rise above the rest. We had good service. The coffee was a little bitter. Other than the coffee everything else was good. There are some local options that tend to be a little better, this location is worth a stop.
Our server was polite and attentive. Pancakes were good, but just warm, not hot.
The server really needs to change aprons often. It was really soiled.
