Island Flava Caribbean Bar & Cuisine

Decided to take a little get a way. Tried this amazing little restaurant in Pooler called Island Flava Caribbean Bar and Cuisine.
It was AMAZING!!!
The whole experience, not just the food.
The owner came over and helped us figure out what we were going to eat. She loved all over our kids and just laughed and smiled. The food came out with these amazing smells and flavors. The textures were rich and delicious.
The whole experience left me feeling like my whole soul had been fed. Like we had been invited in to someone home on a Friday evening and had spent hours just visiting.
So glad to have found this home town treasure and will for sure be going back!!

I had to do a review on dishes we purchased a few minutes ago. The food was hot and gravy rich in the stewed turkey. The rice was on point and plantains fried just right. This is our go to spot from now on. I havent even tried the oxtails yet. I'll do another review on those. It tastes like they really love what they are doing there. No need for any seasonings. Two thumbs up my friend.

Phenomenal doesn’t cover it. Best jerk chicken I’ve had in my LIFE! The white rice and sweet plantains were delicious. The Island Rum Punch was exactly what I needed. So glad we stopped. Plus the lady serving us was super sweet and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

This place makes you feel like you are home. The food is the best in pooler you will not regret it. You will meet new people and enjoy conversations with the owners. You get a good quantity of food. The owners loves to cook and make people happy. Sometimes when I have a lot of homework I sit by the bar with a drink and i watch the tv while doing my homework, just like how I would do at home. I Love It Here!!!

This joint definitely has great taste, excellent customer service, authentic drinks, yum yummy made my tummy smile most delicious food & universal atmosphere. Most importantly Grade A on the wall & clearly exceptionally CLEAN!!! This establishment legit has every single entertainment need/want met.
