    Good place for takeout. Fried chicken was great. Not an ideal option for dining in.

    Coming from South Florida where soul food is a commodity, I was super excited about trying this place after reading the reviews. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed. The oxtails and cabbage were excellent; however, the greens had too much vinegar in them, the mac and cheese tasted very acidic as well, and the summer squash was unexpectedly fragrant (no sure why). The sour cream pound cake was good but quite dense. Might try someplace downtown when I'm in town next time.
