Babe's Smokehouse

Some of the better BBQ in Savannah. The beef brisket gives it away as good brisket is hard to find outside on Texas. Lunch is always packed although they usually find a place for the next group fairly quickly. Get the Black & Blue brisket sandwich. Goooood.

Picked up some take out lunch at Babe's today. After a 15 minutes drive home, the ribs were tender, moist & delicious, the brisket delicious & tender. Cole slaw tasted home made and not overly sweet. So far....I consider this the best smokehouse (BBQ) restaurant in the Savannah metro area. I will definitely be back.

I can say first hand this is some of the best, most authentic bbq in the area. Everything is made from scratch in house, even the various salad dressings are made fresh. Everything is cooked or prepared daily. It's nothing like commercial or franchise places at all and it shows, truly one of a kind in the area.

Very good place to eat food is prepared very quickly. the fries here were a little dry but the brisket here was impeccable. I got the brisket sandwich and it was very delicious their sauce they put on the sandwich was a little sweet but good. That day I also had fried pickles and the fried pickles are very good for this area.

Fantastic food (huge portions!) and great service! Sweetest tea I've had in a long time. This place definitely should be on your radar!
