Sunrise Restaurant

Basic big room restaurant set up with a mix of booths and table and chairs. I've been to this restaurant many times. Food is always out fast and hot. Sometimes the drink refills are slow depending on how many people are dining in. Staff have always been friendly and eager to help. The food is good. Nothing that knocks your so is off but along the line of comfort food.

Breakfast buffet on weekends. Lots of selection...fruit, biscuits , meats,pancakes, grits, scrambled eggs, gravy. Refreshed often when busy. Quality is usually ok, sometimes really good and sometimes not so good. Usually suffers during slow times. Bit pricey for buffet. Menu stuff is generally good to excellent. Service is usually decent. Sometimes need to stay on them for refills.

Initial impressions of the restaurant weren't favorable: had to stand near the door until a table cleared up and there aren't many tables to begin with. However, once seated, a friendly and helpful waitress served us and kept drinks filled. Food was good, considering the price, and the buffet had nearly all the breakfast staples one could want. My wife had chocolate chip pancakes which she enjoyed immensely. Apparently they were good looking enough that her siblings came and stole some of them. Overall, good food, reasonable price, clean environment, friendly and courteous staff. Easily recommend for a simple American breakfast joint.
