Great place if you want reasonably priced food that won't bust the gut or wallet. The menu had great southern diner familiarity while sneaking in modern twists here and there. The service was quick and hospitable. Unfortunately, this place is cashless which felt alienating towards lower income clientele.

In one word, yummy sums up the Grey Market! Great burgers that are about the beef and not smothered in condiments, with gigantic crunchy and tasty potato wedges. First time at the market but this is on our radar now. Back soon for more.

I was so head over heels for The Grey I had to give The Grey Market a try. It did not disappoint. I had the roast beef melt (I asked for some type of mustard that was homemade and they found me some pickled mustard seeds so there's that great customer service). How did they manage to fry potato wedges and still make them light? I have no idea but TGM does that. How did they make me fall in love with grits even though I've hated them since childhood? Again not sure but those cheesy grits gave me life. I'm so glad I got try both restaurants. Well worth it.

Good food and drink, comfortable setting, reasonable prices. A single burger with wedge fries and a pickle is $9. The burger isn’t huge, but it’s enough, and it comes with nice meaty cheese and something spicy, so it actually has some flavor. They serve local beers in three different sizes which is great—one can have a small beer just to pair with food. They make a good egg cream, nicely proportioned, chocolates and still fizzy enough. The setting is comfortable and the staff are very friendly and attentive. It’s a chill lunch spot, literally a lunch counter, with some high table seating. It’s sort of a deli grocery, but more a place for prepared foods. The drinks are pretty average for the area, a bit less than they might be in a bigger, more expensive city, but not much. The desserts are reasonably priced.

Friendly service. Very New Jersey diner counter vibe but with a southern twist on all the food.

The fried catfish and grits was outstanding. Great crunch on the cornmeal crust and the fish was moist and tender. The grits were outstanding as well.

I love that they have local beer on tap in a variety of sizes as well.
