The Wyld was a great find. Situated on the waterfront, the views of the surrounding marshes and river are stunning. We sat on the patio and had a front row seat as an angler fishing right next to the patio reeled in a 10 pound red-fish.
The food was well prepared. The tuna crudo was delicious as was the catch of the day (flounder). The flounder was seared to perfection and accompanied with rice and a green curry. The cocktails were well prepared.
Friendly wait staff, delicious food, excellent views. Highly recommended.
This place is off the beaten path but well worth it. The frozen painkiller was my favorite drink of the entire weekend trip. The tomato dish was fresh and delicious and the tuna starter was also nice. I loved being able to sit outside on the water and the host gave us a nice shaded table. Will definitely return here next time we're in town.
Hard to find, but worth the effort. An unique seafood restaurant in Savannah. Your first impression will be "can this really be the place?"
Seating is behind the main structure and features very nice marsh and water views. The smell of puff mud brings the ambiance full circle. You will want to sit outdoors. Inside seating is limited and not appealing.
The Menu is somewhat limited. Our choice of food ended up being very delicious. I had the steamed fish tacos and my wife the shrimp roll. Good drink menu with some unique choices.
Don't be put off by the search nor the first impression. This is a good seafood restaurant.
Lowered rating by one star due to the need to better maintain the outside tables and chairs.
This place only has outdoor seating. That is very important to know in Savannah in the summer! We decided to stay and sat in a covered area right by a fan.
The service is excellent and it's a really cute place. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife in the immediate vicinity. They grow and maintain the herbs they use in their dishes right there on the patio, which is really cool!
The menu is small but nicely varied. My friend and I shared two appetizers, the Mexican corn and the watermelon. Both were delicious! The watermelon is served sliced, four nice sized slices, drizzled with basil oil, sea salt, and lime, and comes with lime wedges and fresh basil grown on the patio. I've never had anything like it and it was amazing!
The swordfish tacos as my entree were also absolutely fantastic!
It was too hot to drink adult beverages, but the bar menu looked great.
I will definitely be back, just not when it's 100 degrees outside. Maybe in November!
