I'm originally from Miami, went to school and graduated in Hialeah. I'm Cuban decent. I been hearing a lot of great reviews about this place so I have it a try. The restaurant is beautiful inside, the staff is friendly and attentive. It's very clean. So I love Cuban food, I grew up with it. My favorite places were in little Havana where i would go east at my favorite restaurants on SW 8th street. Almost 30 years of this cuisine. I learned to cook it myself, when I moved up here 20 years ago there were no Cuban restaurants. Only a few that claimed to be. So let me be honest here, The Cuban sandwich was good, not great. The bread was excellent, I thought the ingredients were ok. It was served with white rice and black beans. White long grain rice is always the standard. I'm guessing they used a basmati rice? It had kind of a nutty flavor to it? They're black beans were ok. Needed more flavor. My daughter had the tilapia which was a little bland and the mashed potatoes were a bit dry. Didn't get to try the desserts, they serve good size portions. The Yuca fries where very well cooked. The texture was excellent. They're close, but not quite they're, but they do treat their guest well. Prices were a bit high but that's the same everywhere now. I'll try it again one day. They're not the best Cuban sandwich I had here, but they're in my top 3
Happy to see a good Cuban restaurant in Woodstock. The service was great and the food taste was delicious. We had Ropa Vieja, relleno de papa, yuca and tostones rellenos. The atmosphere was good, good music and nice decorations. Update: 11/12/22. Service was fenomenal, the waitress America was very attentive and check us out often. She kept of glasses full. From ordering to having out food was fast. All in all super happy to have this restaurant in my neighborhood.
This was our first time trying the newly opened D'Floridian and we we're not disappoint. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, nicely decorated and is larger than it appears from the entrance. My husband and I say at the bar, we enjoyed delicious handcrafted drinks, a few appetizers and shared a sandwich. We will definitely return and we highly recommend. Welcome to Woodstock D'Floridian!
Best Cuban food I've had in a while! The Cubano and Ropa Vieja sandwiches were awesome -- sizeable, flavorful, and served on some amazing Cuban bread. The tapas selection is expansive, you could easily just do drinks (the D'Floridian margarita was amazing!) and tapas and be more than satisfied. We tried the patatas bravas, ham croquettes, and beef empanadas and I would recommend them all! A nice post-meal cafe con leche and I'm all set.
Great new addition to the Woodstock/Holly Springs area!
