I had the fortunate opportunity to attend their grand opening! It was a blast. I had never had chicken tenders with that type of batter; it was different and delicious, like corn flakes. They had free samples of the mild sauce (or medium) and banana pudding. The sauced tenders were not too spicy for me (I do not do spicy). They were so crunchy though! The banana pudding was very banana-y, so keep that in mind if you don't like bananas (I don't). It was a fun vibe. I have to go back and spend some money sometime soon. I got to meet their mascot!
So they have been here 1 month and this is the first time trying the food!! Love the tenders in Korean and the coleslaw was excellent!! My son had the chicken sandwich with fries they were excellent as well !!! The comeback sauce was so good I cleaned one of my coleslaw bottles and took the rest home!! Malik was amazing cane over to the table and asked us if we wanted more refills very friendly gentleman and as I watched he was on top of his game with asking other people the same. Definitely a must-try place if you have not yet!! It took the place of folks so it's super big inside. I also love that they have several different flavors for your chicken!!!!
People were super cool to be around. The prices are reasonable and the modern atmosphere was welcoming. I tried the chicken sando with the hot sauce and fries and a chicken tender with the Korean BBQ sauce. So far excellent flavor in regards to the chicken. Fries are simple crinkle cut but are fresh and crispy to pair well with whatever sauces you have on hand.
Loved the food, and the service was above and beyond as well! This is my new go-to for hot chicken! Couldn't be happier to support this business.
Better value and service than Joella's but not Hattie B's.
The chicken sandwich was fresh and care was given to it's assembly. The batter was delightfully crisp, the bun soft and toasted, there was a nice pile of pickles and the sauce was flavorful but "hot" was more of medium for me. I was pleasantly surprised that the creamy comeback sauce was also included. The two, almost overcooked, tenders on the sandwich were average sized but not what I would consider large or, even better, WOW sized.
Expect to order at the counter, be given a number card and be served food and drink within a few minutes by a friendly staff member. I would prefer to get my drink at the counter (survey of one).
I didn't order fries or the combo but was accidentally served them. Not ungrateful but since I am sharing a review of the food... Nothing special about the fries. I only ate a few as they tasted to me like starchy, bake-at-home, crinkle cut. I prefer crispy, fried, not baked french fries (1st world problem).
I will be back to try the sandwich with the other sauces. Thanks for the good effort, OG!
