The food is delicious and well seasoned. I've enjoyed everything I've tried so far, but the ribs were OFF THE CHAIN!!! The owner is very professional and friendly. I love having a soul food restaurant so close to home where I can grab a great home cooked meal in minutes.

It's very rare that you walk into a restaurant for the first time and KNOW the food will be good. Well, that's the experience I had here. The food was absolutely phenomenal! We'll definitely be back.

This place is AMAZING! I decided to stop by and give this place a chance since I noticed that it had just recently opened. I don't regret my decision at all!! The food was delicious. I ordered the catfish dinner that came with two filets and two sides. I chose the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese as my sides. Cornbread also came with the meal. I'm a light eater so I usually never finish my meals in one serving but I ate every bite of this meal. The entire meal tasted like it came from my mom's kitchen. I could tell the food was made with love and that the chef cared about providing quality. The chef was also nice. It wasn't very busy at the time so we were able to chat for a bit. I would definitely reccommend this place if you're looking for a nice southern meal. Will be returning soon.

My wife and I stopped to get something to eat. The atmosphere was great, the owner was very professional and proficient. The staff was attentive and very polite. We ordered the whiting fish, our sides were mac&cheese and collard greens. The food was seasoned great, not salty, but seasoned to perfection. This was the Best Southern Cuisine we have ever tasted. Simply the best! Please stop by and have a taste of their collard green egg rolls. You will be hooked. The Chat and Chew will not disappoint!

Food was amazing! I had the grilled pork chop meal. It was juicy and tender and came with TWO pork chops and two sides. I chose the Mac and cheese and collards, best Mac and cheese hands down! The collards were perfection with smoked turkey neck. Now let’s talk about the main course, the gravy onions and green peppers were an awesome addition to the savory pork chops. There was so much food, I had to take a doggy bag. Oh, and I almost forgot about the sweet potato corn bread. YUM! Is all I have to say. The employees were friendly and there wasn’t a long wait. Food was fresh and ready to eat. If you’re in the Riverdale area, check them out ASAP!
