“This is southern soul food at it's best ! The food is great, the service is great, the people are great ! The sweet tea is awesome, but the owner, she is a step above, these recipes are down home, down right delicious ! She came out to greet my boss and I as we came in, and she was wearing a beautiful smile, that told me to start with we had made the right choice for lunch ! Everything after that confirmed the fact that this is a great place to re-adjust your day, even if you're having a good day to start with. There are pencil on canvas portraits of some of the most famous and noteworthy people from decades past to present, all done with a professional flare. “This Riverdale location is iffy. I only go to Church's about once every six months or so. I really have to crave it. On this particular night they were about to close and they only had smoked chicken and chicken tenders. Since I was there to get the smoked chicken it wasn't a problem for me but probably a problem for anyone else who wanted Fried Chicken. The smoked chicken was pretty decent. The service was rushed probably because they were getting ready to close. At this location I can always say I get what I paid for”

“I came in here yesterday and ordered the jerk Alfredo. This was by far the pasta I have ever eaten. They cook everything fresh to order. I waited about 13 minutes which wasn’t long at all for fresh pasta. It was seasoned to perfection, not too spicy. It also came with bread and a small side salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Jasmine. She was very sweet and she asked me if there was anything she could get me. I will definitely be back to support not just because it’s black owned, but because they were very clean and extremely pleasant and the food is cooked with love.”

“The people was really good but I call it in and it wasn't ready when I got there. They put it in the oven after I got there. Then they burnt it. So I had to wait some more. “The food was hot and delicious! They are somewhat pricey but the quality of the food make up for that. We ordered a catfish dinner for our Grandmother with a side order of steamed broccoli. Fried broccoli came with her dinner and they were both quite tasty. The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I appreciate that the coating on the fish was a fine cornmeal and not that thick stuff most places serve. This was our first visit to this establishment although, we have passed by it for years. We will definitely continue to support the Seafood Cafe.”

“The place to go for really good Mexican food! Such as loaded nachos! My favorite steak or chicken soft tacos! now I have not tried everything on the menu! “Oh so tasty! I'm not sure why it has taken me so long to find this place with food this good. It has traditional Jamaican dishes with more fish options and vegetarian options, which is not just side vegetables, than any Jamaican restaurant I've been too. I am highly impressed with the taste, quality and variety of the food received at this restaurant. Most of the food is cooked to order so be prepared to wait. You can call the order in beforehand. I ordered the stewed fish (the fish received was parrot fish), shredded cabbage with carrots (which was absolutely delicious), peas and rice, plantain and festival. I do wish the rice had more beans. The sauce/gravy on the stewed fish is AMAZING!!!! I received a ton of food for the price of $13. Enough food to eat off of at least twice.They also have veggie patties, which is a plus. The staff was extremely friendly and willing to explain anything on their menu. I can't say enough about this place. I plan to return soon.”
