Original ChopShop

First time here and I was impressed. Ordered the shrimp bowl. Food was hot and extremely fresh. Large portions and they didn’t short me on the meat like other places! I’ve drove past this many times and assumed it was a steakhouse or something. Glad I decided to try it today. Shorted them one star because the customer service could have been better. I wasn’t greeted when I walked in for a couple of minutes and got no response when I said thank you. I’ll be back!

On a whim yesterday, I decided to try a protein bowl from the Original ChopShop. (Typically Bowls are NOT my thing, but I wanted something a little different).
From start (order) to finish (delivery) it probably took 12 minutes. Super quick!!
I ordered the Thai Coconut Chicken with veggies and grilled sweet potatoes ($15.50), and even though the picture showed a purple colored lemonade ($4.65), I went for it!

My bowl arrived hot! (Off to a great start)!!
The sauce was delicious, creamy, and not too sweet! My love language is ANY MEAT OR VEGETABLE GRILLED and if it’s got smoke from charcoal..I’m yours for life!
Chicken was excellent, nicely charred, but the vegetables (for my taste) were a little too undercooked but the flavor of the overall dish was really good.
I’d definitely give them another shot and ask that they cook the veggies a few minutes longer.

Now, The purple lemonade (dun-dun a little dramatic music on the side)! Was CRAZY GOOD!!
My brain kept telling me it’s got lemons in it, but the purple suggested a root vegetable?? It didn’t make sense and I’m not gonna lie..it blew my mind ever so slightly.
I pride myself on knowing all the flavors of all the things , but this was a conundrum. I’ll have to have several more to work out what’s in it! 😂

The manager Mike was very informative about the details of the bowls and lead me in the right direction of what I was looking for. And Tell's customer service was amazing.
My favorite out of the three things we got was the shrimp bowl. 10/10 recommended.

I ordered the Spicy Korean Steak with a base of greens and sweet potatoes. Food was definitely fresh and flavorful, although maybe a little too salty and expensive for what it is. However, service was FANTASTIC and the location is certainly in great shape. Will be back.

This is a must stop when you want some fresh food in Marietta. We tried this place in Scottsdale and have missed it since we left. Beautiful store front, great açaí bowl and we tried the special Spicy Honey chicken bowl! Amazing! Oh and don’t forget the Toffee cookie! Oh and we visited this place twice this week. See Maria (Rea) wonderful customer service both times!
