I recently ate dinner here and it was well beyond what we expected for the price point. The food, food presentation and the service were all 5 stars in my book. Our server ROSS was fantastic! He was knowledgeable and very attentive to us. We will definitely be back there soon.
Phenomenal service! Great food! Our server's name was Ross and he was outstanding! Very hospitable, pleasant and attentive! We were celebrating a birthday and it was awesome.
Stoney River is a significant step up from large chain steak houses like Outback or Lonestar. The quality difference in all categories, appetizers, atmosphere, entrees, and drinks is huge but the price difference, while higher, is not significant compared to the quality difference. I have been to this location once and the Roswell location several times. At its price and expectations, this is a good value that should not leave you disappointed. However, it is missing top-level quality and passion that no large chain can seem to capture. Steaks are cooked reasonably well to order but not perfectly and not consistently. The menu seems built for quantity and consistency and while not bad, it falls short of being truly interesting or passionately creative. The bar serves good cocktails, but it is not at a craft-level. Basically, I place Stoney River in the top category for where a large chain restaurant can be.
The food is amazing! The cocktails are uniquely delicious... Stoney River has accommodated a few group parties for our family and the service has always been outstanding. Reservations are recommended but not needed if you don't mind a little wait.
The ambiance was very cozy. We had a gregarious server named Lindsay who was very attentive to our needs. This was our first visit. When we got the bread we were sold...the bread was insane. I had the pecan trout which was also heavenly.
