Whataburger

The service was good and the food was okay. I remember it being better when I had it in Texas a few years back. It's nice to have a different burger option, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

I went during the soft-launch since the food was free and I’d never been before, so I can’t really speak to the price or value. It was fine, the melt on sourdough was much better than the classic burger, which was average but slightly larger than, say, a Wendy’s burger. The fries were fine. I’m not sure what the hype is about, as it is average fast-food, better than Wendy’s, and not as good as Steak and Shake across the street, or Freddy’s down the road. Restaurants in this building/location also never last and don’t tend to do well. This won’t be an exception to that trend, so if you like it, enjoy it while you can. If you haven’t been, order whatever you get on sourdough bread for something a little better.

We were recently in the area and were looking for a quick bite for the fam. We spotted two Whataburger locations that were nearby and this particular location had better reviews so we decided to give it a go. As this isn't somewhere we frequent it took us a few minutes to decide. Once that was done, the person at the register was incredibly kind and patient while each of our children ordered and she made sure she understood everything. The food came out a short time later and again, the person delivering the food was friendly and attentive. When we noticed we were missing a pack of apple slices she immediately said "No problem, I'll be right back with that." The food was hot and fresh and I also found out that all the burgers can be ordered in the junior size (1 patty vs 2) for those times where you know that double patty melt is just too much! The overall restaurant was clean, food what exactly what we asked for, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I'll definitely remember this location the next time we're in the area. Thanks!
